Thousands of Books to Mozambique - from BAFA with Love

Thousands of books were recently despatched to Mozambique by BAFA.

The much-welcomed resources will be used in schools and in post-compulsory education. The initiative followed on from a meeting held in London between BAFA's Chair and Mozambique's High Commissioner.

Books to Nigeria International College, Ibefun, Ogun State

In October 2011, BAFA shipped an entire container full of books to Ibefun's International College. This was in support of an initiative launched by retired Chartered Accountant Pa Babatunde Taiwo who had set up his own school. The sleepy, border village of Ibefun suffers from poverty and low quality education and the College's mission is to provide a quality education to its pupils. BAFA received extensive media coverage in Nigeria in recognition of their work with the College.

Books to Nigeria Eziachi Secondary School, Orlu, Imo State

BAFA shipped a container load of books and other educational resources to Eziachi Secondary School. The school until then had no library. The school authorities were so pleased with the quantity of books received from BAFA that they decided to expand the size of their new library building so that other schools in the community could use it.
