All of our UK team are volunteers. BAFA has no paid staff, nor do we pay fundraisers to act for us.
We do hire vans which are used to collect books from various locations across the country and to transport them to our warehouse in Sunderland. Where possible we try to work with businesses to provide these services for free. If you are interested in sponsoring the cost of these services please visit our 'Sponsor a shipment' page
We also lease a warehouse where volunteers sort and store the books collected.
We pay to have the books and learning resources shipped to Africa.
This website has been kindly paid for by a supporter of BAFA and our promotional materials, such as leaflets and banners are paid for out of our funds.
